The job I like

I am thinking in taking a sports Major because I like the football, the tennis, the basketball and other sports. Also, I think is very important to know about the sports and his benefits, they are healthy and funny. Everyone should participate in one sport at least. Our lives would be better.

I would like to work like a sports journalist in a football team like the Universidad de Chile or another one. I would like to prepare their press conferences and to be a football team consultant. I think the most of football players need press consultancy. They dont know to answer questions.

When I choose this work I consider the salary, the work timetable, the place to work and If the work likes me a lot. All of those conditions are important for me because I want to work comfortable and where I want. I dont like a bad job with a unpleasant and fat boss.

If I were asked in a job interview about my strengths and weaknesses, I would say my strengths are my good writing, my good behavior and my punctuality. My weaknesses can be my shyness, my few experience and I dont have skills with the cameras or editing videos.

I think I could be a great journalist in the sports world. I need experience and practice my writing. Then, I will go to search a job like I want. If dont appears, I will be bag packer in the supermarket forever. I dont want to work in a press room with more journalists clicking and clicking computers.

Take care your enviroment.

I think there are a few places to learn about enviromentally friendly practices. Some places can be the school and the university. In there, the teacher must show to his students the adventages of recycling and take care the enviroment. Also, Its a duty from the government to make campaigns and publicity with enviromentally friendly practices for the people. The pollution is a great problem here in Santiago.

I never recycle but I try dont pollute our air. I drop off the garbage in the trash can. I gave up smoking about one year ago. I fell better than before, I fell clean. I ride in bike when I getting bored in my home. Riding bike is great exercise and you save money too.

The last year I went to march for Hidroaysen but haven't joined any eco-organisations because I dont know the organisations in Santiago. I only know Greenpeace, a worldwide eco-organisation. I would like to ride bike a lot. I cant come to the university by bike because its too far. I would come late and so sweaty. I have to travel in subway. I dont' know if the subway pollutes the air.

In Santiago, we are missing a beautiful lanscape and we are killing our trees and animals. We must stop the pollution and begin to take care the enviroment. The people must recycle the garbage and re-use the papers and plastic. Its a mission for everyone.

My favourite Videogame

My favourite videogame is World of Warcraft, also called WoW. I played a lot of time in summer because I had more free time. I like this role-playing game because it is a multiplayer plataform so I can play with my friends online, by the internet. You have to create an account, sign in, choose your character and enjoy the game.

World of Warcraft has a great history about wars and alliances. There are many different races like the orcs, the undead, the elves, humans, trolls, dwarves, etc. They fight until the victory. You can be an ally or an enemy with your friends and with the other people of world. The game has about nine million subscribers from everywhere. The most of players are from China.

I never finished it because this game has not final part. You can play forever if you wish. It's the best, I recommend it.

Muse in Roadhouse

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/oct/01/muse-roundhouse-itunes-review

I've chosen this article because is related to Muse, a great british music band. I think they are my favourite musicians and I'd like write about music in future.

This review, written by the music writer from The Guardian Dorian Lynskey, talks about a presentation in London, England, particularly in iTunes Festival where the band played at the Roundhouse stage. Muse is a strong band with a lot of awards. They have won grammy's, Brits awards, NME's awards and they are very famous in Europe.

In the article, the author talks about how this band can play in small stages while they are used in playing in big stages like the Wembley Stadium for example. "Confined to the Roundhouse stage, however, the trio demonstrate what they learned from all the years they spent paying their dues in venues smaller than this", explains the reviewer.

Lynskey makes a little resume about the set list played by Muse. Also, he writes about Matt Bellamy's performance, main singer and guitarist from the band. Bellamy can be easily one of the best rocker singer today, and he has a great talent playing guitar too. In Roadhouse he showed all his talent and justified his prestige.

The reviewer finishes his article talking about the importance of the songs and not necessarily of the stage or background. "(...) However many bells and whistles accompany their forthcoming world tour, the real spectacle resides in the songs".

My Best Holidays

Definitely, my best holidays were in the summer of 2010. In the month of february, I went with two friends to Perú and Ecuador. We went by bus and first we leaved to Arica, at north of Chile. Then, we passed for the limit until Tacna, where we taked another bus for the peruvian's coast until Lima, the capital of Perú. We stayed in there about three days and we knew too much of that city. Lima is very similar to Santiago. After Lima we go to Máncora, the north of Perú. In there we knew beautiful beaches and a nice blue sea. We stayed in Máncora about four days and then we started to Ecuador.

In Ecuador we passed for Guayaquil, a big city divided by the Guayas river. The landscape was amazing. We taked other bus in Guayaquil's terraport with destiny to Montañita. This town is a little paradise in Ecuador and Southamerica. The rainforest, the mountain and the ocean are together here. The party was fun and the people very nice. That's beautiful place was our last destiny. Then we return to Chile altrough the coast of Perú and Chile.

That was my best holidays because we knew a part of two countries and we enjoyed too much. I will remember that travel many years.

Interview with Arlén Pérez

I came to square "Plaza de Maipú" for an interview with Arlén Pérez. The night was cold but was very nice. He was late about fifteen minutes. When he arrived, we went to a pub near of the square. We bought a couple of beers and the interview began. He told me about his life. He is 23 years old. Now, he is studyng fourth year of Cinema and Television in the Universidad de Chile but before he did a only year of Comercial Engineering in Federico Santa María's University.

The music in the pub is soft, ideal for a good conversation. Actually, he lives with his girlfriend Fernanda in Maipú, near of subway station Las Parcelas. He arrived where his girlfriend about six months ago. He left his parents house because he fought with his parent. Then, he decided go to live with Fernanda.

Arlen took the beer with a left hand and with the right hand he smoked a cigarette. Their relationship began five years ago. Arlen told me that they broke up once time during three months. Now they are happy, living together in their house. He fixed the problem with his parent and the things are getting better.

Favorite Book

One of my favorite books is Las Venas Abiertas de América Latina (The Opens Veins of Latin America), written by Eduardo Galeano. I like this book because it shows the hard reality in our continent since several years ago. In Las Venas Abiertas de América Latina the autor try to teach us about a point of view of the poor people.

This book is set since Colony times until the seventies, a period of military dictatorships in South America. In each chapter, the book show us the injustice in this zone of world; the slavery in the mineral mines, the business between the powerful companies and the illness and poverty of the people that here lived.

Here is a quote where the autor argues about his idea of powerful countries versus poor countries:
"La división internacional del trabajo consiste en que unos países se especializan en ganar y otros en perder".

"The international division of labor consists in some countries are specialized in winning and other countries are specialized in losing".     (Eduardo Galeano in Las Venas Abiertas de América Latina).

Here is a review of the book on Amazon

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is MUST read for Every North and Latin AmericanApril 9, 2000
By
This review is from: Las venas abiertas de América Latina (Paperback)
This Book was written By Galeano in 90 days ( moolighting) after his regular work in 1970. Yet it is the most enlightening account of 500 years of ransaking of a continent along with Genocide. This one and John Dos Pasos's USA, constitute the masterpieces in meta-historic literature. It is the story of spanish , british and american colonialism. What a shame for the guilty. A must read for all americans ( north and south of the border)... to see the naked truth. It also explains how this happened with the help of conquistadores, (the Cross and the Sword)along with the more recent and most corrupt mother-land sellers, diplomacy, dictators and transnationals. A must read for burocrats and hypocrits in international finance agencies, as well as the lay people interested in knowing the facts anywhere from the Bearing Strait to the Patagonia.

I totally agree whit this review, I think this book is MUST read for americans, europeans and everyone. There is History and there are stories about Latin America and his people. It's a very necessary reading material for young and old people.
